Mr. Simbah Mutasa is currently the Regional Director for Southern Africa at Norfund based in Cape Town. He started his career at Citi in London in 2007 in the Telecoms, Media and Technology team where he rose from Analyst to Senior Associate. During this time, he advised on over 15 landmark transactions. Following the completion of his Master’s in Finance in 2013, he joined the M&A team at Liberty Global. Whilst at Liberty Global he executed transactions resulting in over US$6bn of investment across Europe and Latin America. Driven by his passion for Africa Simbah re-joined Citi in 2015 based in firstly as a Vice President and was subsequently promoted to Director in 2018. Throughout this period, he led the execution of transactions totalling over US$10bn across Sub-Saharan Africa. Mr. Mutasa holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Mathematics and Statistics from the London School of Economics and a Master’s in Finance from the University of Cambridge.
